Ispahan carpet (silk warp, cotton weft, wool pile), central Persia, circa 1940-1980 This finely knotted rug features a central polychrome rosette, extended by two pendants on a blue background enhanced by an elegant stylized floral design. The whole composition is embellished with four ivory spandrels. A wide red border with flower garlands is framed by four navy blue and ivory counter-borders. H : 151 ; W : 230 cm.
