Private Inventories
Maison Baron-Reverdito carries out
private inventories,
notarial inventories, or
insurance valuations to support and advise you in situations that require an accurate and exhaustive record of your assets (insurance, moving, divorce, inheritance, distribution). Carrying out an inventory provides a
clear, complete, and up-to-date overview of the value of your assets, in line with market developments, within a
heritage and insurance-oriented approach.
Located at
66 avenue Victor-Hugo, our team is made up of
four staff members who travel throughout
France and abroad. We also work with specialized experts, carefully selected according to the nature and specificity of the objects entrusted to us for appraisal.
We place particular importance on
personalized follow-up of each case and on
assisting with your collections, taking into account their uniqueness.
Inheritance Inventories
When an estate is opened, the notary is responsible for establishing the complete list of the deceased’s assets and values:
this is the estate’s assets. These assets form the basis for calculating inheritance tax.
For movable property, three options are available to determine its value:●
Public auction, carried out within two years of death.
●
Inventory, drawn up by an
Auctioneer, usually at the request of the notary.
●
The 5% flat rate, applied by default if no inventory is conducted: the furniture is then estimated at 5% of the gross value of the total estate.
Carrying out a furniture inventory in the context of an inheritance often has a
significant tax advantage: when the actual value of the furniture is
less than 5% of the estate’s total value, the inventory makes it possible
to avoid the flat rate and therefore
reduce inheritance tax.
IMPORTANT
Since the reform of February 28, 2022, the law has changed: auctioneers of voluntary sales prepare tax inheritance inventories in collaboration with your notary (Art 764, I of the French General Tax Code
and Art. 789 of the French Civil Code).
Calling on Baron-Reverdito allows you to:
- Obtain an objective and accurate valuation of the furniture on the day of the inventory
- Benefit from advice to choose the most suitable option (flat rate or inventory)
- Be assisted by qualified professionals
- Ensure the legal and tax security of the evolution of your movable assets
Insurance Inventories
When subscribing to or updating your insurance policy,
it is often recommended – or even required – to have an inventory of your movable property drawn up by a qualified professional, an auctioneer.
This inventory gives you a
precise and up-to-date valuation of your objects, based on their
real market value, rather than a
standardized flat rate applied by default by some insurers.
We intervene
directly at your home, to draw up a
detailed and valued list of your assets, ensuring
fair and accurate insurance coverage, perfectly adapted to the reality of your estate.
