Pair of half-moon consoles - Lot 179
Pair of half-moon consoles in mahogany and mahogany veneer, opening with a drawer in the waistband and two pivoting side drawers, fluted uprights and tapered legs joined by a crotch shelf. Ornamented with chased and gilded bronzes, framed with rows of pearls, key escutcheons, mobile drawer rings, flowers and sabots. The veined white marble top and crotch shelf are encircled by a brass openwork gallery. Louis XVI style, 19th century. H: 89.5 ; W: 105 ; D: 38.5 cm.
